1. Strictly necessary storage
To work at all, Rust-a-Man stores a few small values in your browser’s local storage. These never leave your device and require no consent:
rust-a-man.tos.v1— remembers that you acknowledged the terms.rust-a-man.watchlist.v1— your saved (“watched”) servers before you sign in.rust-a-man.genetics.v1— your Plant Genetics Planner seeds, so they survive a refresh.
2. Analytics (cookieless, anonymous)
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregated traffic — how many people visit, roughly where from (country), and which pages and tools are used. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser storage, collects no personal data, and does not track you across sites or build advertising profiles. Because it stores and reads nothing on your device it needs no consent and runs for all visitors. It is not loaded in development.
3. Managing storage
The strictly-necessary items above live only in your browser. You can clear or block them at any time in your browser settings; they will simply not persist between visits, and the affected features (the terms acknowledgement, your watchlist, saved planner seeds) will start fresh. The cookieless analytics stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing to clear there.
